What You Will Need to Be Prepared:
Our plan is that each person or group that comes is self sufficient.
Camping Gear:
- We will be camping at the base of Memory Mountain to pray. Bring your own swag, tent or camper trailer and sleeping gear.
- Plan to bring your own food to last for the weekend and a method of preparing and cooking it. (For those used to camping and hiking off grid, this should be pretty easy).
- It is recommend you bring at least 7 litres of water per person per day.
- A first-aid kit is essential, including any personal medications.
Sanitation:
- There are no toilets at the campsite. We will designate areas for digging holes and burying waste.
- If you have a camper trailer with a toilet or a portable toilet, that’s ideal. Alternatively, bring or purchase a portable toilet seat if you can’t squat.
- All waste, including toilet paper, must be thoroughly buried. We don’t want used toilet paper blowing around the desert!
- Please bring your own toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and biodegradable wipes/soap.
Waste Management:
- All rubbish must be packed out – leave no trace.
- Please bring rubbish bags to carry out all waste, including used wipes and hygiene products.
Essential Items to bring:
- Camping gear (including food, cooking supplies and water*)
- First-aid kit (including personal medications)
