Praying from the Heart – A Call to Pray

Easter to Pentecost

Praying from the Heart – A Call to Pray (Easter – Pentecost)

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” — Ezekiel 36:26

A Season of Prayer for Pentecost Outpouring

Between Easter and Pentecost this year, we invite you to be part of a season of prayer and fasting, culminating in a Pentecost weekend of focused prayer for disciple making: “From the Heart.”

Gather where God is calling you—places of significance in your city, town, state, or nation—or join the team traveling to Haasts Bluff* (see below), the geographic heart of Australia.

Just as the first disciples gathered in the heart of Jerusalem for Pentecost, we are calling on God for a fresh outpouring of His Spirit. This will be a time of standing together as we pray for God to move again since we know it’s only by the Spirit that movements are birthed just like in Acts 2.

Key Dates & Locations

Haasts Bluff* – Join a team praying from the heart of Australia

Haasts Bluff is considered the geographic centre of Australia located 200 km west of Alice Springs. We are calling people to come and pray from the heart of our nation over the Pentecost weekend (Friday 6 – Sunday 8 June). You are invited to join a team to pray and stand on the same soil where the first missionaries from Hermannsburg camped.

This is now where the local indigenous people have planted what they call ‘The Forgiveness Cross’ on Memory Mountain as a prophetic statement to the nation.

“Holy Spirit fire, as this cross is raised up proclaiming Jesus Christ over our land and our nation, it will help ignite a great move of the Holy Spirit across Australia. This cross will signify to all spiritual powers and principalities that we are covered by the blood of Jesus. And that he is our strength in the spiritual battle we face. The cross will draw people to it. As people come together in unity and focus, we will see a mighty move of the Holy Spirit. It will be like a fire burning in the heart of our nation, spreading throughout the country.” – (Prophetic call to prayer from Alison Multa, local indigenous Haasts Bluff elder)

The Forgiveness Cross at Memory Mountain (Haasts Bluff)

If God is calling you to come and pray at Haast’s Bluff this Pentecost weekend, you need to be aware that:

  • The travelling distance is very long. You’ll need to not only travel to Alice Spring but then travel 200km west.
  • There are no facilities (we’ll be alone in the desert close to but not in an indigenous community): So you’ll need to be self sufficient and have some bush camping experience.
  • Temperatures in June are usually around 20 degrees in the day but can be cold at night

If you are interested to come, please come! But be sure to email us at [email protected] and we’ll provide you with some more important information.
