Student brings lecturer’s family to faith

Universities are more than places of learning—they’re some of our most abundant harvest fields. Every year, students and staff from around the world arrive on campus, bringing with them diverse cultures and backgrounds. Many come with open hearts, ready for new ideas and experiences, creating an unprecedented opportunity for the gospel to spread and to see disciple-making movements catalysed.

Recently, one of our Aussie UniVision leaders was praying with an African leader for a door to open at a local East African Islamic university. Just one week later, the African leader shared incredible news. At a nearby university, a student had been boldly sharing the gospel on campus, engaging everyone around her—including one of her lecturers.

What happened next was nothing short of God’s hand at work. The lecturer invited this student to his home to learn more about her faith. What began as a conversation quickly grew into a Discovery Bible Study, as the lecturer, his wife, and his sister-in-law explored the Scriptures together. Soon, each of them committed their lives to Jesus, transforming their Muslim background family. The student and her team now continue to reach out, with a vision to see hearts changed across the campus and beyond.

Are you, or someone you know, a university student? Right now, campuses are filled with young people from all over the world who often need just a little encouragement to boldly pray and share their faith. Equipping students to respond to the Great Commission can spark breakthrough—on their campus and far beyond.

The opportunity is here, right where you are. Be the spark that helps someone encounter Christ!
