Last year, a man was working in a city when he met a follower of Jesus who shared the good news with him. As he listened and understood more, his life began to change, and he became a disciple of Jesus.
After some time, he returned to his village. There, he started sharing his story with his family and neighbours—how Jesus had changed his life.
One day, he met a man from the village and began to tell him the same story. After listening, the man said, “Will you come to my house, share this story, and pray for us?”
So he went.
At the house, the man shared his problem. His wife had been sick for many years. They had gone to many doctors, but she was still not well.
The disciple first told stories of Jesus—how He heals and cares for people. Then he prayed for the woman. He didn’t just go once, but kept coming back, praying and sharing more stories about Jesus.
After some days, the woman became completely well.
This changed everything.
The whole family believed in Jesus, and her healing became a strong testimony in the village. Because of this, many others became interested. People started gathering together, learning about Jesus, and a new group of believers was formed.
Today, this group continues to grow, and people are seeing God work in their lives.
This story shows how the good news often spreads along relational lines—family, friends, and neighbours. One life changed led to another household opening, and then a whole community being impacted. As disciples share their story and practice simple obedience, new groups naturally form. This is at the heart of Disciple Making Movements: when everyday believers live out and share the gospel, it leads not just to individual faith, but to new communities of faith being established.
