In the crowded streets of Hong Kong, Mike and Steve found themselves sitting with a man in a wheelchair. They shared with him about Jesus — not with polished methods or perfect plans, but with simple love and genuine faith.
Something remarkable began to unfold. This man’s friends and neighbours, curious about his newfound hope, started gathering. His wider network soon came to hear more about Jesus. What began as one simple conversation rippled outward into a growing community of faith.
Mike didn’t think he was doing “Disciple-Making Movements” the right way. He often felt unsure, even inadequate. Yet, multiplication was happening all around him. One man from the group started his own Discovery Bible Study with a friend and began to dream of seeing that friend become a disciple maker too.
The spark? It wasn’t a strategy or a formula. It was one man who watched Mike’s authentic love for Jesus and for the lost — and chose to imitate it.
The story from Hong Kong is a powerful reminder: if you want to multiply disciples, model what you want to multiply.
