Scott, Sarah and the Singapore team are playing a role in Project Providence. This is an amazing project where volunteers support immigrant workers (known as ‘guest workers’) – who since COVID-19, are extremely vulnerable – by finding accommodation, providing food allowances and offering counselling.
The team is also training a group of volunteers in Disciple-Making Movements so they can share the hope of Jesus with these people from many nations. Already some of the team have prayed with guest workers, as well as engaging in spiritual conversations and sharing Bible stories. A number of Bangladeshi workers enjoy hearing the stories of Joseph in Genesis and we are praying these conversations will bear much fruit.
Let’s pray for the team:
– Pray for Sarah, Scott, Linda and others as they help structure this project and DMM training for the volunteers they are coordinating in Singapore. Ask God for capacity as they juggle many roles.
– Ask God to bring to the surface any spiritual hunger among guest workers. We pray for protection for each of the workers as they face significant challenges.
