In the vast rural stretches of Western Australia’s Wheatbelt, something is stirring.
Rowan, one of our Praxeis leaders, has a fire in his heart to see disciple-making movements take root in these remote communities — in towns like Wooroloo and as far east as Quairading, over two hours from Perth. Alongside a growing team, he walks the streets prayerfully, joins community events, and looks for people God is already drawing.
At a community dinner in Wooroloo, while waiting in line for a meal, Rowan met John — a local man who casually quoted the Bible in conversation. That spark led to a deeper chat about John’s Sunday School days and his vague belief in a Creator. Rowan gently invited him to explore God through Scripture, and they met again that evening. As John opened up about health concerns, Rowan prayed for healing — a moment that shifted John’s experience of God from distant Creator to present and personal Healer.
Rowan continues to connect with John, helping him discover more of who God is through the Word — walking patiently alongside him as trust and faith begin to grow.

“We’re forming a team committed to being a disciple-making community,” Rowan shares. “Our heart is to help people discover God for themselves — and be transformed by the good news of Jesus.”
Meanwhile, in Quairading, Rowan’s team are seeing something remarkable: a Discovery Group gathering regularly in this small, isolated town. Local young people are diving into the Bible, their curiosity sparking genuine hunger. Just last Sunday, four of them chose to be baptised — going all in with Jesus. Two others are now considering baptism.
From a dinner line in Wooroloo to a baptism celebration in Quairading, the harvest is growing.
This is the essence of Disciple-Making Movements (DMM): Find the person of peace. Open the Bible. Let God speak. Encourage Obedience and Sharing with others. Multiply.
