In a village in Asia, Asha was well known for her strong opposition to Jesus. Whenever conversations about Jesus began, Asha would openly resist them. She wanted nothing to do with Christian faith and made that clear to everyone around her.
Then one night, everything changed.
Asha had a vivid dream. In it, she saw herself standing in judgment, overwhelmed with fear, and hearing that because she had rejected Jesus, she was choosing separation from God. She woke shaken and deeply unsettled. For the first time, she felt an urgent need to respond.
That same night, Asha contacted a local believer and asked to be baptised immediately. The request was so sudden that the believer hesitated, unsure whether this was genuine or a setup. After praying through the night, he decided to visit her home the next morning.
When he arrived, Asha met him with humility and tears. She shared her dream and said plainly, “Now I know that Jesus is the true Lord. I don’t want to resist Him anymore. I want to follow Him.” The believer took time to explain the story of Jesus, answered her questions, and prayed with her.
Not long after, Asha was baptised.
The woman who had once opposed Jesus began to speak openly about her new faith. Her home became a place of conversation, prayer, and discovery. Neighbours started coming with questions and struggles of their own. What began as resistance slowly turned into a discovery group, meeting regularly to explore the Scriptures together.
Today, Asha is known in her village as a person of peace. God met her in a moment no one could have planned, and through her obedience, others are now encountering Jesus as well.
Please continue to pray for Asha and for the new and growing church community meeting in her home.
Deep change is never manufactured. God moves first—often unexpectedly—and invites people to respond. What follows is not driven by strategy alone, but by God’s power working through humble obedience in everyday places.
