The big state of Western Australia (2.646 million km²) is our ministry area. Working through relational networks, we are mobilising prayer for workers and new disciples from the communities we’re focusing on.
Our work
The growing WA team are engaging with the Nepali and Bhutanese communities in Perth as well as communities in the Perth Hills. In our country regions, we have developing connections with people and groups who want to see disciples made in the Wheatbelt, Great Southern and Goldfields.
We currently have 6 Discovery Groups happening – in these groups people are studying the Bible for the first time and discovering what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
We also have growing connections with churches in Perth, including Parkerville Baptist Church and First Light Church. These wonderful partnerships involve prayer and training of disciple-makers. We pray with local churches and groups, looking for opportunities to train and coach disciple-makers.
Our team
We have a Hills Hub with the team meeting regularly for prayer and training.
Another team is working with Bhutanese and Nepalis, providing practical help during the COVID-19 season and praying regularly as a team.
Jill Birt also meets each week to pray with another group who are committed to disciple-making.
