Tanzania is a vibrant nation in East Africa known for its rich cultural diversity, warm hospitality, and deep spiritual heritage. From bustling cities like Dar es Salaam to rural villages across the plains and mountains, communities are woven together through strong relationships and shared life. Yet many people continue to face significant challenges, including access to healthcare, education, and opportunities for holistic growth and transformation. There is a growing openness to God and a longing for hope and renewal in everyday life.
Our work
Jerry and Katie Wong, along with their young family, are responding to God’s call to Tanzania with a vision to see disciple-making movements multiply throughout the region. They are praying for local groups and churches to grow, where people experience God’s love, healing, and restoration in practical ways.
Our team
Based in Dar es Salaam, Jerry will serve as a volunteer doctor—training, mentoring, and equipping local medical staff to provide compassionate and sustainable healthcare to the community. Together, the Wongs desire to walk alongside Tanzanian believers and leaders, encouraging and empowering them to share the good news of Jesus and make disciples in their own families, neighbourhoods, and networks.
