“I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9)
…how will they hear??

God is doing something unprecedented around the globe. He is moving in nations, drawing many people to Him. Disciples that are making disciples through to many generations. People leaving the kingdom of darkness through an encounter with Jesus, his Word and Spirit!
With workers starting discovery groups in war-torn nations, enduring persecution for their faith, reaching into areas of dire poverty we sense a growing need to gather. It is so important for us to connect with other like-minded people. It spurs us on, refreshes our vision and helps sustain us as we make disciples, often in challenging conditions.
Join us for Thailand 25! It will be a week of prayer, scriptures, stories and connection. You will be encouraged to press on making disciples that multiply. You will be equipped with tools that you need. You will be lifted up in vision and prayer. You will make connections with others wanting to make disciples that multiply.

There will be sessions of worship, input and case studies. There will be specialised electives for all on the DMM journey. This will be a time of equipping and encouragement for wherever you are up to on the journey of making disciples.

You can bring your family however we will not be providing a children’s program for this gathering. Due to potential disruptions, children won’t be able to be in the main meeting room during teaching sessions. If there are enough children at the event, we are hoping to run a kid’s program this year to happen at the same time as the main sessions.

What should we bring?
The weather in Thailand in September is on average 31oC/89oF so it will be warm. But it can also be wet! So might be worth putting your rain coat/umbrella in your suitcase so that you can still venture out to the night markets and explore Bangkok in the breaks during the day.
Mosquitos can carry various diseases so make sure that you have some insect repellant for when you go out and about in Bangkok.
And of course, you will need access to a bible (app on phone is fine) and would be a great idea to bring something to write down your notes in from the week!
Visa’s & Travel Insurance
You will need to apply for a tourist evisa https://thaievisa.go.th/ Some nations will have visa on entry, but check the visa requirements for your nation with time apply and process the visa.
Make sure that your passport is up to date and doesn’t expire within 6 months of the travel date.
Look up your countries travel recommendations to Thailand in regards to health, safety and visa requirements (e.g. Smart Traveller for those in Australia).
After you have booked your flights, make sure that you also have travel insurance.
Honouring Thai Culture and Custom
Some quick tips to keep in mind…
- Greet people with a smile and say “sawatdii kha” if you are a woman and “sawatdii krap” if you are a man.
- Do not say anything disrespectful about the king or royal family. If you drop a coin, don’t stop it rolling by standing on it…it has the image of the king on it!
- It’s polite to cover your shoulders. Wear covering swimwear in the pool (i.e. no bikinis).
- Don’t use your feet to point (or pick anything up!).
- Toilet paper goes in the bin, not in the toilet unless otherwise stated. Even better, have a go at using the Toilet Hose!
- Have a wonderful time in the Land of Smiles!
