Spring’s coming, let’s head to the beach for an inspiring weekend together!
What is it?
Tribe Time is a weekend to be inspired by God, and each other, in our mission to make disciples like Jesus modelled and called us to do too. We are privileged to have Dave and Colleen Lawton (intro below) join as guest speakers from Australia.
The challenges of our post-modern, post-Christian culture can be discouraging and confronting. How do we go from seeing more than occasional individual conversions to whole families and groups becoming followers of Jesus?
Tribe Time is an opportunity to connect, share experiences, learn from one another and be encouraged. Join us as we hear stories of what God is doing in Aotearoa, Australia, U.K., Hong Kong and beyond. Learn from those further along the journey in Disciple Making Movements (DMM) who are seeing new disciples, groups and churches multiplied in the harvest.
Who is NZ Tribe Time for?
For those of us who have been involved with Praxeis or in Disciple-Making Movements (DMM) for a while, it be will great to see each other, be refreshed, encouraged and sharpen our vision. For those new to Disciple-Making Movements (DMM) or just wondering what DMM and making disciples in the harvest is all about, this is a great space to get an introduction and gain some insights.
Date & Time: Friday, September 15th at 5pm – Sunday, September 17th at 12pm, 2023.
Location: Sea Esta Camp & Lodge at Waihi Beach https://www.seaestacamp.com/the-lodge
Accommodation: We have booked the Lodge, Chalet and self-contained units all with linen including pillow, sheets, duvet and towels provided. We also have the Camp section booked with bunkrooms if any overflow accommodation is required. Register early to be sure of avoiding a bunk room 😊!
Children: are welcome to accompany parents but will be the responsibility of the parents during sessions as there is no organised children’s programme currently planned. To register children please contact us directly so we can discuss pricing and your accommodation needs. Guest Speakers
Dave and Colleen Lawton are passionate about discipleship, they bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. With a 20-year involvement in Youth With A Mission (YWAM), their journey has taken them to various corners of the globe. During their time with YWAM, Dave and Colleen were leaders in Mumbai, India. Here, they dedicated themselves to the development of young leaders and the training of church planters. It was in Mumbai that their eyes were opened to the incredible potential of multiplying movements.
Upon returning to Australia, Dave assumed the role of Church Planting and Missions Pastor at Crossway Baptist Church in Melbourne. Over the course of the next decade, their efforts led to the establishment of ten new churches. Dave and Colleen have since pioneered Praxeis which is now multiplying disciples and planting churches around the globe in more than a dozen nations.
Dave and Colleen’s unwavering commitment to discipleship and their passion for cultivating Disciple Making Movements (DMM) serve as a testament to their dedication and expertise. We will be inspired, encouraged and equipped by them over the weekend.
