Catalytic DMM Leadership Training
20 – 31 October 2025
Join us for a two-week training with Roy Moran and Dr. Aila Tasse designed for leaders who carry a broader vision and are passionate about advancing Disciple Making Movements.
Training Overview
Two week training
Week 1: Roy Moran

Roy Moran, a pioneer of Disciple Making Movements (DMM) in the Western context, is a leading voice in translating movement principles into settings where traditional church models have been dominant. He serves as Chairman of the Board for New Generations, an organisation actively catalysing movements in North Africa while also working to apply movement principles in the US. Roy is the author of Spent Matches, a book that challenges conventional church growth models and calls for a shift toward obedience-based discipleship and reproducible, movement-oriented strategies.
At this training, Roy will provide key insights into the core principles of DMM, focusing on how to initiate and sustain movements in Western settings. He will share practical strategies, lessons learned, and ways to navigate the challenges of transitioning from traditional church structures to disciple-making movements. Whether you’re a leader seeking to implement DMM in your community or someone exploring how to multiply disciples effectively, Roy’s wisdom and experience will be invaluable.
Week 2: Dr. Aila Tasse

Dr. Aila Tasse, founder and president of Lifeway Mission International, is a globally recognized leader in Disciple Making Movements (DMM), with extensive experience in reaching unreached people groups. His pioneering work in East Africa has led to the birth of 69 movements and the planting of over 6,000 churches, with more than 135,000 individuals coming to faith. Aila’s book, Cabbages in the Desert: How God Transformed a Devout Muslim and Catalyzed Disciple Making Movements among Unreached Peoples, captures his journey of discovering how simple, reproducible disciple-making strategies can lead to widespread transformation. His deep understanding of cultural dynamics and commitment to seeing the Gospel spread through obedience-based discipleship have made him a key voice in global missions.
At this training, Aila will provide invaluable insights into DMM strategies tailored for diverse cultural contexts. Drawing from his own journey of transitioning from traditional church planting to movement-based discipleship in Africa, he will share lessons on overcoming challenges, catalysing transformation, and fostering long-term disciple-making movements. Whether you are leading a disciple-making effort in your community or looking for practical strategies to see multiplication take root, Aila’s wisdom and firsthand stories will inspire and equip you to take the next step in disciple-making.
