Questions are good! Here are a few answers to our most commonly asked questions. We are committed to being transparent in all that we do, so if you have a question we haven’t answered here, please contact us at [email protected].
Q. Why give to the Praxeis General Fund?
Praxeis exists to see a movement of workers, both volunteers and employees, making disciples in Australia and the nations. Underpinning this movement is the organisation that provides:
- training
- coaching and mentoring
- pastoral care
- accountability
- strategic leadership
- integral administration
- insurances
- legal and regulatory compliance
- and a myriad of other essential areas to support the vision.
One of the often unseen realities of organisations that underpin movements is the cost of providing this kind of support. This is so our workers are released into their areas of ministry – confidently and without the burden of administration compliance.
A number of our Praxeis disciple-makers are employees and raise a broad team of financial partners who give regularly to fund their ministry and living expenses. The result is thousands of transactions administered by our small administration team.
Ongoing regular donations to Praxeis ensures that our ministry and the wellbeing of our workers will be sustained well into the future. By giving, you are partnering with God’s call on Praxeis. Gifts to the general fund support the entire Praxeis community.
Q. Does Praxeis take an administration fee from a Worker’s support funds?
No. Praxeis doesn’t take an administration fee from a Worker’s support. This ensures that 100% of funds given to a worker, go to the worker – which is unique. We believe in maximising the support of every donor.
We raise funds for Praxeis as an organisation separately – through the Give2Multiply campaign.
Q. What is Give2Mutliply?
Give2Multiply is an amazing opportunity to see your donation to Praxeis multiply.
As mentioned, we raise funds for Praxeis as an organisation separate from Worker’s support.
To help us do this, we have two major grant partners who are passionate about seeing Praxeis become sustainable well into the future – particularly as we continue to grow and expand around the world as we follow God’s leading.
These amazing grant partners have committed to multiplying the donations of those who give to the Praxeis general fund.
We call this Give2Multiply,
Q. How can my gift be multiplied?
There are two ways your gift can be multiplied:
- Become a regular monthly donor:
When you commit to giving at least $50 each month (for at least 12 months) our grant partners give Praxeis $1,100.
2. Give $2,000 or more:
For every donation of $2,000 or more, our grant partners will match it. This means your donation doubles.
Q. Is my gift tax deductable?
Unfortunately, no. Gifts to Praxeis and Praxeis workers are treated the same as tithes and offerings to a church, and are not tax-deductible.
Q. How does my gift help make disciples?
When you give to Praxeis, you are partnering with us to:
- release workers to share the message of Jesus by covering their administration support and insurances
- train people in Australia and around the world to make disciples
- develop resources to help people be disciple-makers in their own community.
Q. Can I give more than $50 a month?
Yes – of course! $50 per month is simply the minimum amount required to receive the bonus from our grant partners.
Q. Who can give to the Praxeis General Fund?
Anyone can give to the Praxeis General Fund. Whether you are new to giving, already support a Worker or want to invite others to give, this is a great opportunity to partner with the broader movement of Praxeis.
