Australia’s largest urban communities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people live in the region. This is truly a great harvest field.
About 10 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD, the Northern Beaches stretch from Manly to Palm Beach. It’s home to over 270,000 people and expaning rapidly. There is a growing Hub of people in the area who are praying for a disciple-making movement to ignite in this region as we engage with our neighbourhood and workplaces.
Iraqi Catholics, University students, Aussie battlers, African, Indian and Irani Muslims are being discipled in homes, apartments, cafes and housing commission flats across the city. As the growing team of workers prayer walk the streets, they connect with people and share the Gospel; finding people of peace who are discipled to become leaders of simple churches. They dream of disciples multiplying into the nations.
The West Sydney Praxeis team are pioneering in this rich kaleidoscope of nations and peoples. Led by the Pymans, they have a vision to see churches planted in every ethnic group.
The Northern Beaches team are praying for new people to come to faith and catch the vision of disciple-making movements in their region.
